Who we are

We are an ecumenical team of disciples who believe the Church is one of the most important forces for human flourishing in the world — and that she is chronically under-resourced for the work she's called to.

Glass Canvas Ministries emerged from the missional heart that has always been at the centre of Glass Canvas Media — fifteen years of working with the Church, committed to its renewal, now finding direct expression as a ministry.

Our Vision

To see deep cultural renewal where the Church forms resilient disciples who irresistibly embody the Gospel.

Our Mission

To equip the Church with greater capacity to accompany anyone on their spiritual journey towards Christ.

What drives us

We believe accompaniment is a significantly underutilized resource in the Church.

Not programs. Not content. Not technology — though all of those matter. The thing that changes people is being genuinely known and walked with by someone who is present without an agenda or judgment. That's what Jesus modelled. That's what his disciples are called to. And that's what many in the Church have not yet been formed in.

We exist to change that — by forming individuals in the way of accompaniment, and equipping them and the organizations they are part of.

The work is proven. Across dioceses, apostolates, universities, and movements across North America, we keep finding the same thing: when people are genuinely accompanied, things change.

Who we've walked with

What guides us

We are a community rooted in our Christian faith, united across traditions by a shared devotion to Jesus Christ and building his Kingdom.

We have discovered our values by seeing the way the Holy Spirit moves extraordinarily in our team. They are:

There is freedom in leaving nothing in the dark. When we give each other — and the people we serve — permission to say the hard thing out loud, walls come down. A healthy team outperforms a smart one, every time. We try to be the kind of people others feel safe being honest around.

The best idea winning isn't enough. What we're after is something that couldn't have been made alone — the thing that emerges when we bring our combined knowledge, our distinct gifts, and our attentiveness to how God is moving, into the same room. We come alongside the people we serve, not in front of them.

We believe every person and every organization has a God-given calling that is specific, real, and worth protecting. Our job isn't to impose a direction — it's to help people discern and live the one that's already theirs. We hold each other accountable to that too.

We don't earn our identity. We receive it. That freedom — the freedom of knowing who you are before you produce anything — is what makes creativity possible without the weight of proving yourself. We try to work from that place, and to help others find it.

Who we are can't be compartmentalized. Formation happens in the whole of life — in work and in suffering, in seasons of clarity and seasons of confusion. We try to hold that for the people on our team, and for the people we serve. This is how trust gets built.

We rely on the provision of God, which means we know it doesn't run out. That security gives us the freedom to give generously — of our time, our tools, our presence — without the scarcity that makes organizations small. We want to be the kind of community that blesses freely because we've been freely blessed.

We believe there is far more that unites us than divides us. While we come from different historic Christian traditions and may hold differing theological, liturgical, and practical convictions, we are united in our shared faith in Jesus Christ and devotion to His Kingdom. We choose to approach one another with humility, honor, and charity, seeking to preserve the unity of the Spirit while remaining faithful to our convictions.

Our team

At the centre of that community is our core team — individuals from Glass Canvas Media who have given years to this work and are now stepping deeper into the ministry expression of it. Meet the Glass Canvas Media team.

Our Board

Providing oversight and guidance to the ministry are our three board members:
Jason Jensen
Jason Jensen is a co-founder and CEO of Glass Canvas and the primary visionary and formation voice of the ministry — someone who has spent years helping individuals and leaders grow into an integrated Christian imagination.
Luke Schenk
Luke Schenk is Executive Director of Glass Canvas Ministries, bringing a rare ability to hold vision, people, and mission together in one integrated whole. His missional heart is matched by his operational gift.
Pete G. White
Pete White spent twenty years as a psychologist before devoting himself fully to helping people discover their vocation and become themselves. He brings wisdom, authenticity, and a deep belief that the character of Christ can be realized in the places most precious to us.

Bigger than us

This work is bigger than any one organization. Glass Canvas Ministries is part of a growing community of partners, formators, and individuals who share a conviction that the Church can and should accompany the world better than it currently does.

If you're interested in being part of that — in any capacity — we'd love to hear from you.
