The litany: We don’t have to be scared of the things that feel scary or unresolvable
- What wins in a moment is not the right answer, it’s the right heart towards people
- People are often lost in a moment and they just want to be seen
- Unravelling our defensiveness in a conversation: the Church doesn’t need me to defend her
- Our job is to be with people and take them in with our neighbor. It’s not to correct their way of thinking. You can love someone without knowing how it’s going to resolve. To love is to participate with the Spirit as the Spirit is the agent of evangelization.
- Loneliness in pain is sometimes harder - there’s power in being with someone in their experience
